Why I Like It Longer...

I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to answer this simple question "why I like it longer". Seems strangely worded, but that is just my language pet peeve.

Immortality by Ambrose Bierce

Well, first, I'd like my life to be longer, so I can see and enjoy this world and put some positive spin into it rather than all the negative news we have been hearing and seeing so far. There are scientists and researchers working on it. Go Google for "the search for immortaility".

Then I'd like batteries to last longer. Just about almost all devices with a battery, except clocks and remote controls, have not lasted a long enough time. Where is the fuel cell? Why is it still so darned expensive? Come on, it is TWENTY TEN already! Affordable or cheap green technology, please!

Whenever I buy a cordless electronic gadget, I have always had to take into account its battery life, despite all its marketing hype and sensationalism, battery life and environmentally friendliness is all that matters.

Olympic sized swimming pool

Swimming the length of a swimming pool equals twice or thrice the workout than swimming the width, so that is why I like swimming pools to be longer, but there are endless pools to get round that issue.

I work as a PHP Web developer and someone commented about me writing long codes of logic. Hmm, and we are also finding out ways to put those long codes in somewhere hidden and contained, accessing them using ever shorter and faster codes, but that is for another story. Apparently I did like things longer in that area too, though in a rather inefficient impeding way.

Hence concludes this post on the question, "Why I like it longer".

Epilogue...

Some guy jokingly predicted that the iPhone 4G will look LONGER like this (via a link shared by a workmate)...

"iPhone 4G"

To which this cool Korean company LG, formerly GoldStar, actually made a real LONGER phone and was not far off! Yay for their Flatron Wide monitor, the only LCD monitor so far with a swivel base (correct me if I am wrong)!

LG Chocolate BL40 (not sure why the cheesy model number lol)

(Yes, it is very real and on sale, you have heard about it too, that is the LG Chocolate BL40 with a 4 inch 21:9 ratio high definition screen, so go ahead and drool all over your screen, keyboard, keypad, touchscreen, etc. you are seeing this from. LOL!)

Yes, they kind of minaturized the widescreen monitor into the phone and made it sensitive to touch too! Yup, I do like it longer, though I need longer pockets this time.
